also for the weekend of whomp, my etsy will be closed..  so for saturday/sunday the shop will appear as down.  but it will be back up monday or tuesday..  so if there’s anything you’ve been wanting in my etsy here’s your last chance to buy it - i’m taking all of my elfmagick stock to whomp in hopes of selling..  who knows what i will come home with!  i will also be listing all new items next week including sage sticks, amulets, medicine bags, antler runes, and new tie dye!

whoa man is that like a book on weed man?

this is in fact a copy of “a child’s garden of grass” by jack margolis, and it is quite literally THE handbook for the marijuana user.  it was originally published in the 1960’s so it’s official issue hippie stuff..  quite hilarious, and best to read whilst comfortably baked.

i originally found this book at the second hand bookshop i work in and bought it immediately because who doesn’t love kitsch?!  and i recently found a second copy at a booksale, and because i’m such a gentle loving hippie, i thought of my tumblr followers, many of whom would likely get such a friggin’ kick from this book. 

so here’s how you enter the dope elfmagick giveaway:

2.  you must reblog this (once, twice, a hundred times..  your call)

3.  you MUST send me an ask and tell about me about the funniest experience you’ve had either under the influence of marijuana or involving it, and thusly you must then allow me to publish it on my blog (i won’t use your username if you don’t feel comfortable)..  my thoughts are that this will be like the online trading of the “man this one time…” stories, and who doesn’t love stories of buffoonery?  i ask you, who?

yesterday one of my close friends phoned me saying he’d just been thrift shopping and had something he *needed* to give to me, and could he come over..

i said yes, and was presented with this little number.  looks to be official issues 1970s…  also, of note is that there’s no way to hang it up..  it was never hung up..  and what does that say?

part of me wants to take the back off and see if there’s money or ancient 1970s leftover cocaine in it..  or you know someone’s dignity?  some souls?  self respect?  virginity?  God?  the possibilities are endless.
